MOSAIC STAYS ONLINE
Our mosaic integration project has been running online since the new decisions. Together with the participants, we develop the content in such a way that it can also be implemented online and document the results in a cinematic way. Stay tuned, because soon we will present the results here on the website. Below you will find a photo of a presence rehearsal with our participant Hala. The photo was taken in October.
MOSAIC CONTINUES - ONLINE AND OFFLINE
Our integration project MOSAIC in Bonn continues under the usual hygiene and protection regulations also in presence samples. After a break due to the Corona epidemic, we have found a way to develop content, perform art therapy exercises and perform rehearsals via online and offline offers together with the participants.
The work is a lot of fun for us and the participants. It brings us together into an intercultural exchange in which we all learn a lot. The feedback and experience in digital collaboration and conception so far has been consistently positive, so we want to continue to use such measures for the further rehearsal process. In order to be prepared for re-limitations, work continues on the type of performance, considering several ways to respond to developments in a variable and effective manner. The presentation of the performance will continue to be varied in time among further developments.
TBM does Spring Awakening
Our current play “Spring Awakening” is about growing up and all the problems that come with it. How do you talk about falling in love, for example, if you are not allowed to fall in love, and who actually explains to you how to manage adult life? With 13 participants THE BEAUTIFUL MINDS explores the questions of youth and creates an evening full of memories and outlooks for the future.
What does growing up mean these days? Everything has changed, we are freer, more relaxed and can deal with topics like puberty and sexuality in a totally relaxed way. Or can’t we? Are parents today still uncomprehending spoilsports and the children still hormone-controlled monsters?
THE BEAUTIFUL MINDS explores with young fugitives, locals and adults the best and at the same time the worst time of our lives: our spring awakening. It’s about the urgent questions of our youth, which were already taken up in a similar way in Wedekind’s classic over a hundred years ago. What about the first kiss and the first time? Can I ask my parents something like that, or do I learn about these issues on YouTube? Together with the participants THE BEAUTIFUL MINDS goes to the prom for one evening and takes the audience on a journey through the turmoil of love, questions of sexuality and farewell to youth. #Let’s talk about sex, baby!
